If this has not been installed, proceed to the next section, 'Downloading the Yamaha USB MIDI Driver for Windows XP'.PLEASE READ THIS SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT ("AGREEMENT") CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS SOFTWARE. The following steps are only necessary if an older USB MIDI driver has previously been installed. Removal of old Driver: NOTE: If an older USB MIDI driver (such as the one for Windows 98) has previously been installed into Windows XP, it should be removed before installing the Yamaha USB MIDI driver for 'Windows XP'.
NOTE: It is highly recommended to unplug any other USB devices from the computer, and then plug them back in after the USB MIDI driver has been successfully installed.
Preliminary Steps: 1) With the computer turned OFF, make sure that the MIDI instrument is already turned ON, plugged into the USB MIDI interface cable, and that the other end is not yet plugged into the computer USB port.
